So far so good.

The sun is rising and setting like a return rocket propelled by the mightiest of thrusters.
Mama sea gull and young are hitchhiking along, turning our solar panels into a mess.

We won’t come full circle with O2 in this lifetime, but we did manage a kind of Pacific triangle: from the tip of Baja to Hawaii to Prince Rupert in Canada back down to Baja, and onwards from there.

We tread with caution not to jinx it, yet we dare declare “so far so good”. “Far” meaning we have already a solid 808 miles under our keel and “good” meaning that we can keep our course while under sail. No engines needed.

We reached GPS peaks of 9+ knots, thanks to a favorable back wind, a well behaving Parasailor sail, aka the Jurassic butterfly and a benign sea state.
The last couple of days the wind was steadily blowing between 16 and 20 knots from the NNW and we felt secure enough to keep the Parasailor flying throughout the night. Here , the moon is illuminating the scene.

But as predicted by all the weather systems we check as well as by Chris Parker, our professional weather router whose services we used before and which we are using again now, the party is over for a couple of days. The wind has dropped and we have just switched our Parasailor for the wing-to-wing set up. We’ve lost our pace of 6,5 knots average and we are now crawling along at 4 knots. Perfect time to do some cooking.

We don’t go hungry.

Leuk om weten Veerle. We blijven rapporteren zolang the Starlink blijft werken. Wat een wonderding is dat!

We doen ons best Nicole.
